Archaeology Notes

NX88SE 3 8666 8432.

A greenstone axe-hammer, 10" x 4 1/2" x 3", with a half hole 2" in diameter to the outside narrowing to 1 3/8", found at Dunscore church (NX 8666 8432) was donated to the National Museum of Antiquities of Scotland (NMAS) in 1827 by J Grierson (Accession No AH 13)
