NX88SE 2 869 813.

A finely polished perforation stone mace-head 3.6/10" long, 1.2/5" at the thickest end, the perforated 13/16" across, was brought down in overburden during blasting operations at Morrington Quarry (?NX 869 813), Holywood in November 1926.

Presented to Dumfries museum in 1927 by Mr R A Geddes, proprietor of the quarry. (Accession No 1/PSA/38)
