NX76SE 12 c. 761 604.
A bronze sword, now broken into three pieces but originally about 25 inches long and nearly 2 inches in maximum width, with six rivet-holes, and a plain bronze ring, nearly 1 1/4 inches in external diameter and nearly 1/4 inch thick, were presented to the National Museum of Antiquities of Scotland (NMAS) in 1885 by the Rev Dr C J Cowan of Kelton, on whose glebe they were dug up. Accession Nos.DQ 118 and 119.

Centred NX 7612 6040. The Rev W Ross of the Manse at Kelton indicated the extent of the glebe but could not give any further information.

(Ewart Park type - Northern step 2). Sword in two pieces, with tip missing, L. 43.9cm (together); Sh.w. 5.4cm; M.b.w. 4.25cm; corroded,
but rich dark green patina remains on both pieces; rivets 3:6, one
in situ. NMS DQ 118.
