A small area of ground, about a rood in area, supposed to have been used for burials before the present burial ground came into use. Human bones and handles of coffins are said to have been found by a previous farmer while ploughing.
Name Book 1849
Although the present farmer knows of the tradition of a burial ground at the published site there is nothing visible.
