Archaeology Notes

NX59SE 16 575 904.

NX 575 905, NX 575 904 & NX 574 904. Three ring cairns, 4.57m, 5.49m and 4.57m in diameter respectively.

M L Ansell 1969

These features were not located, though the locations given overlap the N end of an extensive area of clearance cairns, none of which show significant features (see NX59SE 24). On reflection, Mr Ansell (Rannoch, Gatehill Rd, Dalry) suggests these cairns were just disturbed clearance examples, and is uncertain of their exact location.
