Archaeology Notes

NX46SW 12 c. 405 607.

A sandstone whorl, 1 7/16" in diameter and irregular in form, found at Mains of Penninghame (NX 405 607) was donated to the National Museum of Antiquities of Scotland (NMAS) in 1889 by Sir H E Maxwell (Accession no: BE 190).
