(NX 4765 6140) Cairn of Knockglass (NR)

OS 6" map (1957)

A low grassy mound of deeply embedded stones about 50ft in diameter, according to Coles. Three stones of a nearly central cist, aligned NE-SW, remained, measuring 9 ft long overall, and 7 ft by 4 ft internally. The RCAHMS found the cairn reduced to "a mere ring of stones, the whole centre having been cleared out".

F R Coles 1897; RCAHMS 1914, visited 1912
