OS 6" map (1957)

The site of a castle of the Gordons of Muirfad, the last of who died in 1513. A great part of the building was still standing about 1800, but it has since been removed. The site could still be pointed out in 1849, and it was remembered by the older inhabitants as being a plain building of considerable height.

Name Book 1849

No trace of this castle remains.
