The Object Name Book describes this church 'A plain stone building used as a place of worship by a body of Presbyterian Dissenters commonly called Covenanters. There are seats in it for about 300 persons. It is situated in Glenluce Row in the town of Newton Stewart, was built by private subscription and the Minister is supported by voluntary contributions from the congregation. He has also a Manse or free house as a residence'.

Newton Stewart, Princes Street, Reformed Presbyterian Church was subsequently used as a church hall and has now been converted into a furniture store which is annotated on current Ordnance Survey vector map sheet.
