Milldriggan Mill [NAT]

NX45SW 34.01 NX 42105 52128 Mill House

(Location cited as NX 421 523). Milldriggan Mill, on an old site but rebuilt in the early 19th century by William Routledge. A three-storey and attic, eight-bay rubble building on a rectangular plan with an internal high-breast wheel, 3ft 10ins (1.16m) wide by 20ft (6.1m) diameter by J and R Wallace, Castle Douglas Foundry.

The water wheel has been taken to the Mill on the Fleet Visitor Centre (NX55NE 23: formerly Birtwhistle Mills). Conversion of the mill to housing is planned.
