A highly polished and ornamented axe-hammer, 13 3/4" X 5 1/4" X 3 1/8" was found in 1857 at the Beadle's Croft, near Cruggleton Church (NX 477 428). In 1878 it was in the possession of Sir Andrew Agnew of Lochnaw, but Roe states that its location is now unknown.
