Archaeology Notes

NC75SW 32 7278 5499.

At NC 7278 5499, in the S side of a natural drainage gulley, is a heather-covered burnt mound, about 10.0m in diameter and 1.0m high, with a central depression opening out onto the W side. The content of burnt stones has been exposed. The mound occurs on the edge of a field system associated with a settlement of hut circles. (See NC75NW 20).
