Evidence for discovery: recorded in the late 1940s in re-use built into an exterior wall of a farm building at May.
Present location: in situ at May.
Present condition: very worn, but only one face is visible.
Description:
This is the upper part of a solid cross-head with expanded arms and a central boss. The cross is outlined by a roll moulding, and it is filled with continuous open knotwork.
Date range: early medieval.

A cross-slab is built into an outbuilding at May farm (NX 301 515). (This is noted along with the 10th/11th century cross-slabs NX34NW 12, NX34NW 27, NX34NW 30 is presumably of similar date).
