(NX 3658 5577) White Cairn (NR)

OS 6" map (1957)

White Cairn (18 chains N of Crows); "An ancient heap of stones of which there is little known. Mr McGeoch of Crows says that he heard his father say that some warrior was buried here."

Name Book 1848

A much dilapidated cairn 90' from north to south by 86' from east to west and 7' in maxiumu height. There is no indication of its character.

RCAHMS 1912

A grass-covered cairn measuring 28.0m N-S by 27.0m E-W and 2.0m high. Name confirmed.

Resurveyed at 1/2500.
