(A: NX 3141 4840; B: NX 3137 4837) Cairns (NR).

OS 6" map (1957)

Cairn 'A' has been almost entirely removed, but near the centre an upright pointed stone stands 4' above the debris. It has been 40' in diameter.

'B', 60' S of 'A', has been mutilated and its outline obscured by field clearance deposited on it. It appears to have been 50'-60' in diameter, and still stands 6' high.

RCAHMS 1912, visited 1911

Situated on the crest of a small scarp are two cairns, 'A' at NX 3141 4840 and 'B' at NX 3137 4837.

Cairn 'A' measures 16.0m E-W, 15.0m N-S and 1.1m high, and at its centre is an upright pointed stone 1.3m high and 0.3m square at the base. Several large stones set in the edge of the NE quadrant appear to be the remains of a kerb.

Cairn 'B' measures 23.0m E-W, 22.0m N-S and 2.6m high, and its outline is obscured by the stone walls of enclosures on the E and W sides. These appear to have been sheepfolds.

Resurveyed at 1:2500.
