OS 6" map (1957)

A large circular cairn, 58' - 60' in diameter, now reduced to 4' high. There is no cist exposed and the interment has probably not been disturbed.

RCAHMS 1912, visited 1911; D Phillips plan, undated

This cairn, situated in Lang Riggs, is generally as described by the RCAHMS. It measures 20.0m N-S by 18.5m and is 1.5m high. It was probably excavated by the Marquis of Bute in 1942 (Mrs Anderson, May Farm) although all traces of the excavation are now grassed over.

Surveyed at 1:10 000.

Visited by OS (BS) 1 July 1976
