Archaeology Notes

NC73NW 4 7235.

NC 72 35. In the low ground between Cnoc na Gaoithe and Cnoc Bad na Fainne are a few scattered cairns presumably field clearance. If any related structures existed, they may well lie below the present ground surface.

Information from MS, A Field Survey in the Loch Rimsdale Area, June 1975, site ref 6 (see archive).

This area of field clearance has been deep ploughed prior to afforestation. No trace of the mounds was seen.

Visited by OS (J B) 10 May 1977.
