Archaeology Notes

NX13NW 46 unlocated.

An object, probably worn as an ornament or charm, was found in one of the forts in Kirkmaiden parish. It appears to be a cretaceous fossil, rolled on the beach, with a natural perforation, and is of a light green colour.

H E Maxwell 1885.
