(Approximately NT 917 687). Two Late Bronze Age gold penannular armlets were found on 3rd May 1931 at the foot of a cliff under the Kirk Hill, St Abbs. They are now in the National Museum of Antiquities of Scotland (NMAS Accession nos: FE 78-9). They are both of Irish type, and measure 2 13/16ins by 2 9/16ins by 2 1/8ins in external diameter, with expanded terminals; both are flattened on the inside of the ring, the larger being D-shaped in section, and the smaller of very thin segmental section.
