Archaeology Notes

NC71NE 16 7852 1546.

(NC 7852 1546) A wasted, stone-walled hut circle, shown but not named on OS 6" map (1963), is set into the top of a spur on a SW-sloping moor. It consists of a low overgrown platform, about 13m in diameter, on whose rim, particular- ly in the SE half, fragmentary walling is visible. No entrance can be identified and there are no signs of contemporary agriculture.

Visited by OS (J M) 11 December 1975.
