Archaeology Notes

NT87SW 14 803 706.

A coin of Athelstan, now in the possession of the Rev Andrew Baird, minister of Cockburnspath, was found with several others in a small earthenware vessel a few years ago by some workmen near the ruins of St Helen's Chapel (St Helen's Church: NT87SW 1, at NT 8037 7067).
