The site of a chapel dedicated to St Callan. Nothing appears to be known about the date of erection or when it became disused.
Name Book 1873.
On the basis of the Tallagh martyrology dated to the late 9th century, St Callan's Church was founded by Cucalini, a follower of St Donnan. St Donnan died in 617.

No trace of the chapel remains. Neither the date of erection nor the dedication could be ascertained locally, but according to Mr Imrie (J B Imrie, The Manse, Rogart) the chapel was superseded in 1556 by the church at NC 7385 0352 (see NC70SW 20).

Nothing can now be seen of this chapel, the suggested position of which lies on a low ridge surrounded by boggy old river channels.
