Archaeology Notes

NC70SE 45 7576 0130 and 7577 0132

These two circular enclosures, shown on OS 1:10,000 map, (1970), are merely ruined sheepfolds.

Visited by OS 17 November 1975.

Two drystone enclosures, situated on either side of the path and previously recorded by the OS, were observed by J Wordsworth during a pre-afforestation survey. A third, slighter, enclosure lies to the SW.
