(NT 8100 2925) Cherrytrees - the property of Adam Brack Boyd. Part of the estate seems at one time to have formed part of the barony of Lochtown.

In 1523 it was the property of GW Rutherford. A family of Tait seems to have possessed part of the estate before 1605.

A Jeffrey 1857.

The present house at Cherrytrees is 19th century. Whether or not an earlier structure occupied the same site could not be ascertained by local enquiries.

Visited by OS(RD) 24 November 1967.
