The slight remains of a palisaded enclosure occupy a spur on the NE flank of Swindon Hill overlooking moderately steep to steep ground falling away to the E and NE. Much of the palisade-trench is lost in the marshy ground towards the W end of the enclosure. What survives suggests an enclosure measuring some 32m in diameter within a single palisade-trench averaging 1.2m in width and 0.15m in depth. There is a possible entrance, 4m wide, on the SSE angle beyond which faint traces of a second palisade-trench, only 10m long, lie 5m outside on the SW. Both within the enclosure and over the marshy ground to the W, there are up to eight sub-circular shallow depressions each open to the E, possibly representing house-platforms. The three clear depressions within the projected circuit of the palisade range from 7m to 11m in diameter.
