HU32SE 5 c. 390 230

(Marginal) A copper coin of Vespasian, found in the parish of Dunrossness during ploughing, is recorded in the Rev. George Lowe's Mss. description of Shetland, quoted by Gough. (W Camden 1806)

Hibbert adds that it was found about 1782 and records that a Mr. Ross (late of Lerwick) had in his possession, among other coins from Shetland, a copper coin of Galba, another of Vespasian and a silver coin of Trajan. (S Hibbert 1822)

No further information was obtained at Lerwick Museum.
