Ellemford Bridge [NAT]

Not to be confused with Smiddyhill Bridge (NT 69658 61223), for which see NT66SE 20.

(Location cited as NT 729 600). Ellemford Bridge, built 1886 by the Berwickshire Road Trustees. A large 3-span bridge with dressed-stone arch rings, snecked rubble spandrels and wing walls. There are rounded cutwaters.

This bridge carries the B6355 public road over the Whiteadder Water, which here forms the boundary between the parishes of Cranshaws (to the N) and Longformacus (to the S).
