(NT 7578 6218) Nun's Well (NR) (covered) (NAT)

OS 1:10,000, (1977).

This well is now covered and the water from it conveyed to Abbey House. The water from this well was conveyed through lead pipes (several of which have been dug up in the cultivation of the ground) to St Bathan's Nunnery or Convent (NT76SE 9), hence the name.

Name Book 1857.

A modern tank now occupies this site.
