A short cist containing two flints and a beaker (Clarke's N3 type), now in the Royal Museum of Scotland (RMS, formerly the National Museum of Antiquities of Scotland [NMAS]) (Accession No: EG 30) was found in 1885 when ploughing in a field called 'Garlic Knowe' adjacent to Wester Wooden Loch.
RCAHMS 1956, visited 24 February 1947;J G Winning 1886; 1887; D L Clarke 1970.
Mr Willink of Woodent Farm, states that Garlick Knowe is the name of the field centred at NT 706 256. No further information could be found by local enquiries and there is nothing to be seen on the ground.
