Carn Mean Leod, a dun, near NC66SE 2 now consists of a cairn of boulders. There are traces of fortification on the slope on which it stood, and in this, at the foot of a large boulder, a small oblong bead of spar, 3/4 inch long, was found and was donated to the National Museum of Antiquities of Scotland [NMAS] by Morrison in 1882 (Acc No.FN 24).
