Archaeology Notes

NC66SE 12 673 613

NC 673 613. A carved rock face occurs about 100 to 150 yards east of the cup-marked stones (NC66SE 7). The carving is of a man's head and what looks like a bow and arrow, etc. Above the carving is the date 1875, but this looks as if it were cut more recently.

Information contained in letter and sketch from Miss E R Mackay to OS, 19 August 1973.

Not located; the cup-marked rocks (NC66SE 7) are at NC 6657 6181.

Visited by OS (N K B) 12 September 1978.
