Archaeology Notes

NT63SW 13 c. 61 33.

A Whetstone of fine sandstone, 9 3/4ins in length by 1 5/8 inch in breadth and 1 1/4 inch thick with perforation at one end, found near Maidenhall,was on loan to the National Museum Antiquities of Scotland in 1894. (The general heading of the article is Roxburghshire but the county is Berwick).

No further information was found regarding this whetstone. The find spot was not located.
