RCAHMS 1956, visited 25 August 1932.

Clessleypeel or Classleypeel: Two dilapidated cottages on the site of an ancient peel.

Name Book 1859.

This site occupies a much mutitated mound covered with the amorphous footings of walls and banks. It is impossible to distinguish between the possible remains of a tower and the footings of the cottages mentioned by ONB.

Visited by OS(WDJ) 8 February 1967.
