A barbed and tanged arrowhead of milky translucent quartz, 1 1/2 ins in length, found at Ferniehurst (NT 652 179) was in the NMAS, on loan, in 1894. It is presumably the same arrowhead as that 'found near Jedburgh' illustrated in 1895, when it was in the collection of T Scott ARSA, Bowden (one of the donors of loan material in the previous year).
