Archaeology Notes

NT58SW 7 5434 8225.

A square dressed block of yellow freestone is built into a stone wall on Kingston Hill within 200 yds of Fention Tower (NT58SW 10). It measures 10 1/2" by 12" and bears a Maltese cross with the date 1607.

NT 5434 8225. This stone is on the W side of the wall near its top. It is as described and illustrated.
