The cropmark of a roughly square enclosure has been revealed by oblique aerial photography 1km SE of Birkenside farmsteading. It has slightly rounded corners with a possible entrance on the SE side and it measures about 55m across. Two other enclosures have been recorded in the same field (NT54SE 35 and NT54SE 58 ).
