This settlement has been recorded as cropmarks on oblique aerial photography (RCAHMSAP 1976, 1981, 1982, 1984, 1990, 1991, 1992, 1998, 2000) lying on the S flank of Westmains Hill. It is roughly rectilinear on plan, measuring about 80m E-W by about 45m within a ditch about 2m wide with entrances on the E and W. An enclosure (NT54NE 27) lies immediately to the S.
