An Early Bronze Age spearhead (Coles' Class B), 6ins long, found in 1870 in the Birkeyden, opposite the Haerfaulds (NT55SE 14), was donated to the National Museum of Antiquities of Scotland (NMAS) in 1920, from the Lady John Scott collection (Accession no: DG 84).

Birkeyden (centred NT 5737 4975) was pointed out by Mr A R McDougal of Blythe. No further information regarding the spearhead was obtained.
