HU31SE 2 3929 1441.

HU 397 145. A slab-lined cist has been exposed in a small mound on the tip of Gallow Hill.

C S T Calder 1965

The remains of a cairn, containing a cist, at HU 3930 1443, are reduced to a rickle of stones of vague outline, c.5.5m in diameter, with slight traces of a possible kerb. The cist measures 1.5m E-W and 0.8m N-S. No local knowledge of any finds.

Surveyed at 1/2500.
