Archaeology Notes

NT51SW 29 5032 1464.

The North Port of Hawick stood at the top of Horseleyhill's Wynd - Walter's Wynd since c.1790 - and admitted the road from Edinburgh after the latter forded the Teviot at the "Fairy Faulds".
