Activities

Note (9 February 2015)

Stobs castle and stable block were in military use during the First World War. Pictures from an album held in RCAHMS archives, shows a number of wooden building on the N side of the stables in use by the army, possibly as a military camp for the guards of the internee and PoW camps. It is possible that the stables would have been used for accommodation of men, stores and stabling of horses.

Information from RCAHMS (AKK) 9 February 2015.

Visibility: This is an upstanding building.
