Cropmarks have revealed what appears to be an internal palisade within the ditch of the enclosure.

Aerial photography has identified a palisaded enclosure 600m NNE of Mungoswells. The area enclosed by the exterior ditch is oval and measures about 30m in maximum diameter. Internally, a palisade runs parallel to the exterior ditch, set about 4m apart, with a possible entrance on the E side.
