NT45SW 14 4332 5107.

There are the remains of an ancient castle at Hoppringle.

NSA 1845

Hoppringle farmhouse is situated on the site of an old castle, a portion of the wall, about 4' thick, forming part of the stable.

Name Book 1853

Hoppringle farm, now deserted, is at NT 4332 5107. There is no trace of a castle to be seen.
