The cairn, which is composed of large stones, is fairly well-preserved. It lies on a slight shelf on an undulating NW-facing slope and measures 7.0m in diameter and 0.6m high.

Cairn, Cairn Rig (NT 438 611).
Some 50 yds E of the point where the old road from Broadmeadows to Yair enters Caddonfoot parish, and 30 yds from the boundary fence, there is a round stone cairn 18ft in diameter and 1ft high. A hole has been dug in its centre.
