OS 6" map (1971)
Yair, built in 1788, consists of a square Georgian block of three storeys and an attic, with a wing originally of two storeys but now of three, extending to the W. These units form two sides of a court, enclosed on the W and S by modern outbuildings and a screen wall and entered from the S through a modern archway. The masonry is of rubble throughout with dressings of red freestone.
