A collection of artefacts of flint and stone from the adjacent farms of Crumhaugh Hill (NT 488 130), Whitchesters (NT 469 110 - see NT41SE 11) and Southfield (NT 473 089 - see NT41NE 30) was donated to Royal Museum of Scotland (National Museum of Antiquities of Scotland - NMAS) in 1948-9 by Mrs I Turnbull, Haysike, Hawick. The collection includes three microliths, flakes and implements of quartz and chert, fragments of cannel-coal armlets, and a quartz pebble worn by use as an inset in a wooden plough.
