A roofless 17th-century lean-to dovecot stands beside St Serf's Church, West Port. Rubble-built, it measures 4.9m square; it is crowstepped with a single string-course and contains 718 stone nesting-boxes.

Visited 28 May 1925.

Field Visit (28 May 1925)

Dovecot.

Beside what was formely St. Serf's U.F. Church is a rectangular dovecot 16 feet square, rubble-built and with crowstepped flanks. The roof, now ruinous, has been slated. The nests are of stone. The entrance is in front. At the back, where the ground rises, is a string-course to prevent rats from climbing the wall.
