NT 334 690. Enclosures, Newton Church: The crop-marks of three contiguous, sub-rectangular enclosures are probably of medieval origin. Newton Church (NT36NW 3) stands at the NE end of the largest enclosure which measures about 85m long (on NW side) and 33m wide. In the NE enclosure, a series of post-holes suggest the site of at least one rectangular building. To the NW of the enclosures there is an area of rig and furrow which may have been in use contemporaneously. They are not visible on the ground.
