Maiden Bridge is a single-arched bridge rising to a height of 23' above the water and 15' wide. It probably dates from the late 15th c, and is in good condition.

Maiden Bridge is as described and is in good order.

This bridge carries an estate path or track over the River South Tyne within the policies of Newbattle Abbey House (NT36NW 14.00).
