A field to the East of North Glassmount House bears the name of Chapel Field. A chapel formerly existed here and it is not long since the ruins of the building were to be seen.

NSA (written by Rev F Jardine) 1845

All vestiges of a chapel, which is said to have existed in a field known locally as Chapel Flat, are now obliterated.

RCAHMS 1933

There was no evidence of a chapel at the point indicated in a field which had been freshly ploughed when visited.

Chapel (supposed site of), Chapelflat, N. Glassmount.

A highly cultivated field lying about a mile to the north-east of N. Glassmount is known locally as the "Chapelflat," but all vestiges of the chapel, which is said to have existed here, are now obliterated.

RCAHMS 1933, visited 6 May 1925.
